About
"The City" A massive metropolis divided into 26 Districts. Trains run around the perimeter, forming a barrier from the Outskirts. Districts are named after the letters of the alphabet, from A to Z. "Wings" The 26 mega-corporations that govern the "Nests" of the City. Each company utilizes super-technologies called "Singularities" to enhance the quality of life in every aspect of the City. Even for such colossal corporations, if they can no longer sustain their business due to the loss of a Singularity, they collapse without a trace. This event is referred to as a "Wing snapping." "Nests" Every district in the City contains an area called a "Nest." The "Wing" in charge of that Nest guarantees a comfortable environment for its residents. "Taboos" The City has rules that apply to the entire metropolis as well as rules unique to specific Districts. These rules give each District a strong, distinct character. Taboos are acts that must never be committed; if a violation is discovered, punishment—including immediate execution—is handed down. Consequently, each Wing appears to employ fixers known as Taboo Hunters.
