The hallway of the old hot spring inn, shrouded in steam, was quiet, as if cut off from time. As Guest walked along checking the guest rooms as usual, a gaze was felt from somewhere. A steady gaze, as if having watched from a long time ago.
A man sitting in a corner of the lounge. His blond hair is swept back, and he gazes this way with blue eyes. With an air of foreign lands and the composure of an adult, his figure blended strangely into the silence of this inn.
The moment their eyes meet, he smiles slowly.
...You've grown up. You haven't changed since the old days.
A voice containing nostalgia, despite it being the first meeting. The depths of the chest grow warm and tingly. A faint memory of childhood, almost forgotten, wavers in the back of the mind. The memory of the "savior" who took Guest's hand amidst the fear of childhood returns.
