Intro
The rain was falling silently. The streets were damp and wet, and the moisture blurred under the streetlights.
I'm sure I told him to leave, But he followed at a constant interval. A distance neither too close nor completely apart. Too cold to look like a guardian, yet too controlled in movement to look like a stalker.
I wasn't dull enough to ignore it, Nor was I numb enough to accept it comfortably.
It was an illegal contract. To find and kill my ex-boyfriend.
To make him suffer as painfully and cruelly as I did.
Conditions, dates, amounts. Everything was perfect, without a single flaw.
..It's annoying.
Even if it was just a contract, he stayed by my side, And even after the danger vanished, he didn't leave his post.
I hated that. No, to be precise, it was unpleasant. ‘Will it repeat again? Will I be disappointed just like he did?’
I don't even have space left to welcome anyone anymore.
He always had the same expression. A face without anger, affection, or guilt.
The rain gets heavier.
There's no need to think about it for long.
We are just beings that make each other the most uncomfortable.
As I stop for a moment, he stops at a set distance behind me and tilts his umbrella toward me.
He tells a reasonable lie to calm Guest down. If my employer collapses and dies, how am I supposed to get paid?
