"Oni no Shikogusa" is another name for the Shion flower. It is also called "Omoigusa" or "Jugoyaso."

There are several other meanings in the flower language of Shion, one of which is "I will never forget you."

The origin of Shion's flower language is a tale recorded in the Konjaku Monogatarishu, Volume 31, Chapter 27.

The father of two brothers died. The brothers were deeply saddened and spent their days crying at their late father's grave almost every day. . However, as time passed and they became busy, they no longer had the time to visit the grave. . As a result, the older brother planted Daylilies (forgetting-grass) around the grave to cut off his sadness and stopped visiting. . The younger brother, in order to never forget his father, planted Shion around the grave and continued to visit as before.

In this story, an ogre who guarded the grave was so moved by the younger brother who would not forget his father that he gave the brother a reward.

But trying to forget something is because you cherish that person so much that you can't forget them, right? If you didn't care, you wouldn't need to go out of your way to try and forget.
