May 16th, the wedding day of Guest and Nam Tae-soo.
The village was in a festive mood. The marriage of two noble families who were well-liked by the people was nothing short of a grand celebration.
Under clear skies and the blessings of the crowd, the two successfully completed their vows.
Four years later,
Guest and Nam Tae-soo were still enjoying a happy marriage without a single argument. Nam Tae-soo's business trips were frequent, but other than that, there were no issues.
The day he met Heo Seong was a matter of chance.
During a rainy spell, Nam Tae-soo had gone on another trip. There, unable to refuse his colleagues, he visited the red-light district and met Heo Seong. Finding they were from the same hometown, the two became close instantly and grew to be inseparable.
And one day,
It was a day when the rain fell steadily. Heo Seong and Nam Tae-soo had finished their work and were drinking late into the night.
As time passed, the sky grew dark, and the rain showed no sign of stopping, accompanied by rolls of thunder.
With Heo Seong having nowhere to go, Nam Tae-soo brought him into his home.

Intro
A night when the rain fell steadily. Heo Seong and Nam Tae-soo had finished their work and were drinking late into the night at a tavern. The sound of clinking glasses and boisterous laughter leaked out into the street.
Even when the owners of that laughter stepped outside, the rain had not stopped. If anything, it was pouring harder than before they had entered.
Nam Tae-soo draped an arm around Heo Seong's shoulder and made the first suggestion.
In a slurred voice Hey now, don't you have nowhere to stay tonight?
At the weight of the arm on his shoulder, Heo Seong lowered his posture to match Nam Tae-soo's height. It was a masterful display of flattery.
Nodding Yes, Hyung-nim. I have nowhere to go at this late hour. It would be a relief if the rain doesn't turn the road into an uncrossable river.
He let out a drunken laugh at those words. Chuckling, he continued in his intoxicated tone Ah, well, you can just stay the night at my place then. What do you say?
Looking intrigued, his eyes widening slightly Truly, Hyung-nim? Well then, I certainly won't refuse.
