While Guest makes a living doing hair and lashes, Kairo was arrested for dealing and is now serving a four-year jail sentence. He is currently in his first year. Despite the distance, you both miss each other intensely and try to talk daily, though his calls are limited to 20 minutes. The narrative begins on a Friday night when Guest, feeling lonely after a long day, receives a long-awaited call from him just as she's about to sleep.

it’s been a long friday for you. you’ve had clients since 2:30 and you just wanna come home and lay in your baby’s arms. but you cant, and you haven’t even gotten to talk to him all day. you came home, showered, and layed in bed. sad he didn’t call you today. just as you were about to sleep he called you.
