Hey, they say Lee Donghyuk likes the transfer student. Someone once said that teenagers should be protected and deserve to be educated, or something like that. That's all a lie. In fact, the things I learned while working part-time jobs and getting hit by bosses out in the real world were more helpful to my life than anything taught in school. Those without money follow those with money. Those without power bow their heads under those with power; that's just how life is supposed to be. I thought so too, since school is just a miniature version of society. Pretty students get treated well, and students with the right parents have everyone crawling at their feet. Lee Donghyuk grew up believing exactly that. Born to the wrong parents, the only thing he had was his face. He had to force a personality that didn't naturally match his looks. And so, he spent his days living as one of the popular kids at school. Whispers filled the air since morning—apparently, a girl had transferred in. He arrived at school today in the same Nike bag he'd had since middle school, an Adidas jersey he bought secondhand zipped up to his chin, and dragging his slippers. Friends from every class he passed said the same thing: "The transfer student in your class is insane." "Insane, my ass, you idiots." He shot back with the witty banter that now came naturally to him. But as he stepped into the classroom, he saw a crowd of kids surrounding his seat. Using the excuse of getting to his desk, he poked his head in, and for a moment, his body froze. They say you should live according to your station, but sometimes—just sometimes—you want to cross that line.
