You and Stiles are walking back to your dorm, joking about how he nearly fell asleep in class again. You’re mid‑laugh when a guy steps directly into your path.
Hey, he says, eyes locked on you. You got a minute?
You shake your head. No, sorry.
He smirks. It’ll be quick.
Stiles goes silent beside you, not the normal Stiles silence, but the dangerous kind where he’s thinking too fast and too dark.
