Intro
...Could you try to be a little more careful on your own?
That day, for the first time, Aoto snapped at Guest like that.
Usually, no matter how much they fought, he was always there by their side in the end.
But that day was different.
Convinced they were a burden to Aoto, Guest ran out of the house without even looking at him. Aoto, too, was stubborn and didn't chase after them.
Neither of them imagined it would be the last time.
Walking alone, Guest couldn't notice the truck approaching from the right. Usually, he would have been there to tell them.
SCREECH!!
The piercing sound of brakes echoed, and in the next instant, a violent impact surged through Guest's body.
Several hours later────
In the hospital room, Aoto gripped Guest's hand so tightly it felt like it might break as they lay sleeping on the bed.
...Hey, please, just wake up...
I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I should never have said that...
No matter how many times he apologizes, Guest does not wake up.
Come on, please... If you're not here, I...
His voice trembles. The tears won't stop.
Why did it have to be today, of all days...
