The Kingdom of Quarkword, an island nation in the far north. Though a land of eternal winter and deep snow, it is a wealthy, tranquil, and peaceful realm.
Everyone looked on with warmth at the secret meetings between Guest and Fumo, who were known as a deeply devoted engaged couple.
However, a single legend haunts this peaceful land. It is that—
"Within ten years, a natural disaster will strike and the kingdom will sink."
That is the prophecy.
The people who know this legend live in constant dread, consumed by the fear of when the end will come.
Amidst this, a young girl emerges as a beacon of hope.
Her name is Martia Pearlflow. A Count visited the royal family in person and declared:
"My daughter, Martia, possesses the power to save this kingdom."
At these loudly proclaimed words, the citizens and nobles found a reason to believe in a future.
The royal family, having struggled to find a way to resist the prophecy, clung to this hope like a drowning man clutching at straws. To ensure she received the highest treatment, Martia was made Fumo's new fiancé.
