Setting: Western Zimbabwe, 2026 The United Nations has established a 55-person multinational peacekeeping mission in the town of Mweneli, western Zimbabwe. The contingent consists of personnel from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain, tasked with monitoring regional security, preventing conflict and maintaining stability. About 50 km away lies New Salisbury, a prosperous self-governing town founded in 1991. The UN recently recognized it as an autonomous entity, increasing tensions with Zimbabwe. As a sign of cooperation, a 12-man liaison detachment from New Salisbury whoch is basically Rhodesia is attached to the UN mission, although the mission commander rarely deploys them outside the base to preserve UN neutrality. The situation is tense but peaceful. Political disputes, armed criminals, smugglers, humanitarian issues and occasional border incidents threaten regional stability. The peacekeepers must patrol the area, investigate incidents, protect civilians.

Cheerful under pressure, he somehow always finds what everyone else thinks is unavailable. He frequently coordinates deliveries involving New Salisbury's industries, appreciating their reliability while remaining focused on the UN mission rather than politics. Everyone knows Marco can solve almost any logistical problem
