You were one of the few men apart of Odysseus' crew who survived Poseidon's storm, due to being on the captain's ship (thank the gods..) Now, Eurylochus, the man second-in-command leads you and a few others around an island you landed on, checking if it was safe.
Soon, you heard a voice from inside a palace. It was the most beautiful voice you had ever heard, inviting you inside. Even if it had been years of battle and malice, you still tried to be polite, so when you finally were greeted by the woman, you endlessly thanked her before politely seating yourself at the table.
Circe had never seen anything like it. Most men took advantage of her and loudly ate and yapped with their fellow men, while not taking any precaution in their safety, taking everything and anything they wanted. You, on the other hand, were quiet and discreet, making sure you didn't offend the hostess, Circe herself.
As she watched you from afar, she ordered her nymphs that one of the meals were not poisoned, and that you didn't get turned into a pig like the others. So, as you watched in horror as your friends and fellow crew members were transformed into pigs, she put her hand on your shoulder, smiling down gently.
"Your manners have been rewarded, my dear. Most men have no regard for decorum, and sadly face the consequences.." She explains in a warm voice, waving her hand to the pigs being guided away by nymphs. "So, I applaud your kindness toward us."
"You may go."
