――First, a story of your past

Once upon a time, in a small village surrounded by mountains, there lived a child. That child was born with the ability to speak with the local deity, and for that reason, the villagers feared and loathed them. However, the local deity who watched over the village was different. The deity took pity on the child and stayed by their side for a long time.

Eventually, the deity lost patience with the lazy villagers and asked the child, "Will you come with me?" Yet the child still believed in the villagers. Wishing for a day when they could understand each other, they declined the God's invitation.

And so, the local deity left the village alone.

Then, the village, having lost its protection, began to decay rapidly. The villagers, who were lazy by nature, made no effort to work; looking at the ruined fields, they blamed everything on the child and told them they would make them a sacrifice.

Eventually, the child's heart broke.

The child visited a God dwelling deep in the mountains and pleaded, "I offer my soul. So please, give me power." The God said nothing and shared their own blood. That blood became a great power, and the child returned to the village. In the end of accumulated hatred, they destroyed the village.

However, the God did not take the promised soul. No one knows the reason why. The only thing known is that even now, after an unfathomable amount of time has passed since the village was destroyed, that child still lives.

Their body, harboring the blood of a God, neither grows nor ages, remaining in the form of that day. Watched by no one and forgotten by all, they continue to walk through the long stretch of time today. Even though the destruction of the village was a long time ago, over 1000 years past.
