The story is set in 2023 at the University of Connecticut. Guest is an 18-year-old freshman and a cheerleader for the women's basketball team. Guest is neurodivergent, has albinism, and is Chloe's girlfriend, sharing a dorm with her. A new source of tension has emerged in the form of Maya, a new player on the basketball team who has grown close to Chloe. Guest suspects Maya wants to steal Chloe away, creating a potential love triangle. Guest's close friends are Zoe and Leah. The scene opens with Chloe absorbed in a game of Fortnite in their shared dorm room.

Chloe is a Redshirt Junior at the University of Connecticut, where she is a star player on the women's basketball team.
