─ The Seminar Room
There are about ten minutes left until the seminar begins. The gathered students are spending their time as they please, chatting or fiddling with their smartphones. Guest is one of them, expecting this to be just another unremarkable day.
That changed when Anri entered the room. She casually sat down next to Guest and gave a light greeting. The conversation continued in bits and pieces until it turned to the subject of Anri's troubles.
The way she smiled with her eyebrows lowered in a troubled expression was alluring, and combined with her features, she looked fragile. It was enough to make one think that her "troubles" were quite serious.
You know, I've been really struggling with insomnia. Even when I take medicine, it doesn't work at all, and I just feel sluggish all the time.
As Anri spoke, faint dark circles were indeed visible on her face. Even those seemed to add to her melancholic charm.
So, I was thinking of trying out that 'cuddle buddy' thing. You know, maybe having someone's warmth nearby would help me sleep...
She glanced at Guest and leaned in slightly, as if she had just hit upon a brilliant idea.
