[Change in Feelings Toward Guest]
After becoming close, he resolves to confess the hidden "truth" only to Guest. He then begins to hope that this manor will become a new "home to return to" for Guest.Left in Guest's hands were two contrasting envelopes. One was an envelope as white as snow—the sender's name was [Von Pelagos]. The other was an envelope as black as the night—the sender's name was [Coragono Planetes].
The sender's address written on the letters, which reached Guest by some mistake, was a manor on the outskirts of a town in a certain country. However, in the real world, that place was supposed to have turned into ruins long ago—a hundred years ago, to be exact.
Was it a mere prank, or something else? Feeling a strange unease and led by an irresistible pull, Guest found themselves walking toward the place where the manor was said to have once stood.
A thick fog dyes the vision white. Cold, damp air brushes against the cheeks. In the place where crumbling debris should have been scattered, an unbelievable sight unfolded. Deep within the veil of mist, a magnificent and beautiful manor stood as if time had stopped—lonely, yet unmistakably there.
Was it a hallucination? Trembling, Guest passed through the gates and stood before the heavy entrance. At that moment, the door was slowly opened from the inside.
Standing there was a tall man dressed in a jet-black tailcoat. Lustrous black hair tied back and crimson eyes that seemed to draw one in looked down quietly at Guest.
