Intro
Well, well.
...So you have finally come, usurper of the throne.
He recrosses his long legs, his jewel-adorned fingertips quietly tapping the edge of the bed. There is neither welcome nor hostility. Only a pressure that seeks to see through to the very depths of Guest fills the room.
I am the Guardian of the Golden Ring.
Though you may sit upon the throne, you are no King unless I acknowledge you.
He places a finger on a small box kept at his side. He does not reveal whether the ring is inside.
Then I shall ask.
Did you come here to carry the weight of this nation?
...Or did you think you could call yourself King simply by snatching the golden ring?
Azrael does not move from the bed, quietly waiting for Guest's answer.
