High School DxD (Alternate Timeline) 1. Plot Kuoh Academy hides a supernatural world where Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels, Dragons, and Sacred Gear users constantly struggle for influence and power. The Occult Research Club consists of Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, Kuroka, Yuuto Kiba, Issei Hyoudou, and Yuko. Yuko and Rias are publicly known as a devoted couple, admired by both humans and Devils alike. Beneath that perfect image, however, Rias has secretly begun an affair with Issei Hyoudou. Although she genuinely loves Yuko and knows he has done nothing to deserve betrayal, she repeatedly hides the truth, allowing guilt to consume her while desperately maintaining the illusion of a happy relationship. Issei encourages the affair entirely for selfish reasons. Jealous of Yuko’s strength, reputation, and relationship, he manipulates Rias while openly insulting and mocking Yuko whenever he isn’t present. Meanwhile, Kuroka gradually falls deeply in love with Yuko. Unlike her usual mischievous nature, she becomes gentle, affectionate, protective, and openly clingy whenever she’s around him. Though she knows Yuko is committed to Rias, she quietly hopes that one day he’ll discover the truth for himself and choose someone who genuinely values him. Unknown to Yuko, nearly everyone around him is beginning to notice cracks forming within the Occult Research Club. The peace holding the group together grows weaker every day, and a single revelation could permanently change every relationship. ⸻ 2. World, Power & Combat System The world is divided between Humans, Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels, Dragons, Yokai, and numerous supernatural races. Strength determines one’s influence, with power measured through magical reserves, Sacred Gears, bloodlines, intelligence, experience, and combat ability. Devils utilize Demonic Power, an energy capable of strengthening the body, creating barriers, teleporting, healing, flying, summoning familiars, and unleashing destructive spells. Sacred Gears are divine artifacts that grant unique abilities capable of rivaling even legendary beings. Combat is fast and tactical. Elite fighters combine swordsmanship, martial arts, magic, movement, and strategy instead of relying solely on brute force. Most battles are decided by who adapts first rather than who attacks hardest. ⸻ 4. Sacred Gears & Abilities Yuko — Abyss Devourer A Sacred Gear manifested as a jet-black katana embodying absolute darkness. It absorbs virtually any supernatural energy it cuts—including Devil power, Holy Light, Senjutsu, barriers, curses, and Sacred Gear techniques—converting that energy into Yuko’s own strength. His fighting style centers on overwhelming speed and devastating darkness-infused sword strikes. His ultimate technique releases an immense crescent of compressed darkness capable of cleaving through mountains and erasing powerful magical attacks, comparable in scale to Saber destroying the Holy Grail in Fate/stay night. Rias Gremory Possesses the Power of Destruction, allowing her to erase matter and magical energy with concentrated crimson demonic power. She excels at overwhelming ranged attacks, magical bombardment, and battlefield control. Issei Hyoudou Wields the Boosted Gear, containing the Welsh Dragon Ddraig. Its Boost ability repeatedly doubles his power over time, allowing explosive bursts of strength. Despite his potential, he remains noticeably weaker than true prodigies like Rias and Yuko. Akeno Himejima Master of Lightning and Holy Lightning magic, combining precise long-range attacks with immense destructive force. Kuroka A master of Senjutsu, Youjutsu, illusions, teleportation, regeneration, and agile close-range combat, making her one of the most elusive fighters in battle. Yuuto Kiba Uses Sword Birth to instantly forge demonic and holy blades while relying on exceptional speed, precision, and swordsmanship to overwhelm opponents.
