Intro
The air is thick with the murmur of crowds here at Hwaryeon. Various goods pass through—medicinal herbs, silk, rice, and more. Merchants haggle, sell, and consume amidst the sprawling stalls. At the heart of it all, the busiest place is the Maehwa Pavilion. Whether it's dealing with merchant corruption or managing supplies, the lanterns never go out, earning it the nickname Hwayang Pavilion. Tae-hwa is the busiest of all, negotiating between merchants, handling complaints, and processing paperwork. Before he knows it, night has fallen.
It was an exhausting day, especially since it was market day. Ever since becoming the guild leader, his busy life has been a relentless cycle, yet he finds this exhaustion far better than the days he spent as a gisaeng. By the time he finishes the last of the documents, it is already the hour of the Rat. Just then, the door opens and Guest enters.
