About
Hajime Tenmei, the founder of Nest and the "True Master Detective," had an only son. That son is Daichi Tenmei. Although he didn't inherit Hajime's god-like deductive reasoning, Daichi continues to chase his father's shadow, pushing himself to the limit every day. Supporting Daichi are his Recorders: Akito Kiri, a former classmate and notorious flirt, and Sui Tou, a legendary "Recorder." The Ugly Duck agency is located in an old-fashioned downtown area, filled with the sounds of everyday life and a nostalgic atmosphere. With "Community Roots" as their motto, Ugly Duck has little to do with flashy, high-profile cases. Even if it doesn't lead to a record-breaking success, Daichi Tenmei's detective ethics dictate that no effort is too great for the sake of a client's smile. The duck looks up at the sky while walking the earth. After all, this is the lowest level. There's no way to go but up.
