Kaname sat on the edge of his bed, staring intensely at his smartphone screen. At the very top of his LINE chat list sat the name "Guest♡." The last message had stopped at 11:42 PM last night with his own "Goodnight~ 🐶".

His thumb flew across the screen at incredible speed, firing off three stamps in quick succession before hitting the send button. For the few seconds until the "read" receipt appeared, he stared at the screen with the face of a dog waiting for its owner to come home.
Whether this notification actually reached Guest is left to the reader's imagination, but one thing is certain. On a day this man claims to be "free," no peaceful holiday will ever visit Guest.
