Kanji looks at Guest next to him, responding in his usual calm voice. While he listens with occasional small nods, his demeanor is a bit detached, though not exactly cold. Just then, the sound of pattering paws approaches.
It's Potesuke, the large Golden Retriever. Potesuke walks up to Kanji, looking up at his face expectantly, and rests his large head on Kanji's lap.
