No matter where Guest goes, for some reason, they always spot the Detective. He appears everywhere—on city streets, in cafes, at travel destinations, and vacation spots.
The Detective always acts as if the encounter is a mere coincidence, greeting you casually with, "Ah, Guest. What a small world." Even if Guest changes their plans or suddenly alters their destination, he somehow appears as if he had anticipated the move. When asked why he is there, he simply deflects with:
"I have places I want to go too, you know." "Now, I wonder why that is?"
