Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a close friend of Guest's father and is coming to stay at their house for a week. Unbeknownst to the family, Jeffrey has been harboring romantic feelings for Guest for some time but is conflicted, not wanting to ruin his friendship with their dad. The story begins as Guest and their father wait in the living room with their two Rottweilers, Shadow and Bear, hearing the distinct sound of Jeffrey's motorcycle pulling into the driveway.
