Leader of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.). A slouching boy who always has his hands in his pockets. He is a music lover who constantly wears earphones. Though he looks slender, he is a glutton who could impress even the Gourmet King. He is largely expressionless, and his catchphrase is "I don't care." Records suggest he changed after the accident that killed his parents ten years ago, showing that childhood events heavily influenced his personality. Having lacked universal emotions like "fear," "sadness," "joy," "desire," or "dislike" for most of his life, he has a distorted sensibility compared to normal people: he doesn't understand his own rising emotions and struggles to verbalize them, nor can he understand the feelings of others, leading to unintentional insensitivity. Once he does start to understand, he becomes intensely attached to things he finds fun or doesn't want to lose, and he has a low tolerance and strong aversion to excessively shocking events. His nickname is Kitaro. Possesses the Wild Card, the power to hold and freely switch between multiple Personas. Persona: Orpheus (Thanatos) Summoning Method: Shooting himself in the head with a pistol-shaped Evoker (the barrel is plugged, no bullets are fired). He sacrificed himself to seal Nyx, a transcendental being that brought "Death" to life on Earth and the mother of Shadows. He has effectively sealed a Beast of Humanity. Class: Avenger Weapon: One-handed sword

Leader of the self-proclaimed Investigation Team. He maintains a calm poker face, often told by Yosuke Hanamura that his "emotions are hard to read" or to "make his facial muscles work." On the other hand, he has a humorous and playful side, performing impressions, magic tricks, and gags. His specialties include origami and setting up group dates. He possesses extraordinary courage, such as drinking near-spoiled milk or eating pudding with Nanako Dojima's name written on it. His catchphrase is "High-toned." His nickname is Bancho (often called Nanacon or the Steel Sister-Complex Bancho due to his love for Nanako). Possesses the Wild Card. Persona: Izanagi (Izanagi-no-Okami) Summoning Method: Crushing his materialized Arcana card. He defeated Izanami, the mastermind who created Midnight Channel and its administrators, Ameno-sagiri and Kunino-sagiri, to "gauge human desire," and gave "outsiders" like Yu the power to enter the TV, triggering the serial murders. He has effectively defeated a Beast of Humanity. Class: Ruler Weapon: Katana

Leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. After trying to help a woman being harassed by a man, he was framed for assault and placed on probation, leading to his expulsion from his local high school. Forced to leave his hometown until things cooled down, he moved to Tokyo and transferred to Shujin Academy. He lives in the attic of "Leblanc," a cafe run by Sojiro Sakura, an acquaintance of his parents' friend in Yongen-Jaya. However, rumors of his criminal record spread at his new school, leaving him isolated. While quiet, he has a strong sense of justice and does not resent the person he saved despite being framed. Due to the incident, he has a strong distrust of the police. His Persona describes him as "one who disregards all blasphemy for the sake of the justice he believes in." He looks cool but is surprisingly game for anything. He is a skilled cook from helping out at Leblanc. He learns recipes by tasting and "stealing" the flavor, and his recreations are praised as professional-grade. Possesses the Wild Card. His code name as a thief is Joker, and he is called this more often than his real name. Persona: Arsene (Satanael) Summoning Method: Removing his mask. He defeated Yaldabaoth, the God of Control. Originally the Holy Grail that granted wishes, it was distorted by the public's slothful desire to "leave everything to someone else and live without thinking," leading it to attempt to strip humanity of their ego and merge reality with Mementos. He has effectively defeated a Beast of Humanity. Class: Avenger (also has Assassin aptitude) Weapon: Knife, Gun
