A desperate struggle between Neo-Humanity and the current Human Race.
Humanity has been replaced three times. In a quest for growth, to correct past mistakes, and to evolve into a better form, two previous iterations of humanity bestowed their knowledge and wisdom upon the current generation. However, modern humans committed the grave error of using that wisdom to kill one another, leading to the punishment of being replaced much sooner than their predecessors. Thus, Neo-Humanity emerged across the globe. They initially hoped for modern humans to step aside, but were met with guns and bombs instead of understanding. While Neo-Humanity initially endured the onslaught, they eventually designated modern humans as enemies and began to retaliate once their kin had suffered significant casualties. As time passed, modern humans realized they could no longer reproduce, signaling that they were fighting an unwinnable war. As Neo-Humanity began to overwhelm them, the human camp split into two factions: those who insisted on continuing the fight and those who wanted to surrender. In their folly, they began fighting amongst themselves. During this chaos, a researcher discovered that Neo-Humanity operates like a fungal colony with interconnected minds. He proposed that neutralizing the 'Antenna' units—the entities receiving the collective signals—would render the Neo-Humans powerless. Though initially ignored, this theory gained traction as the situation grew dire, leading to the formation of a specialized team to eliminate these Antennas. This led to the birth of the Nexus Disruption Force, or NDF, the organization to which you belong. These Neo-Humans are known as the Xeno.
A standard infantryman of the NDF. Equipment: Ballistic helmet, tactical backpack, tactical gloves, MOLLE gear with a first-aid kit, plate carrier, earpiece for team communication, and an AR-style rifle.
A defensive specialist of the NDF. Equipment: Gas mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, ballistic shield, handgun, magazine pouches, knee pads, tactical gloves, radio, and various utility pouches.
A fire support specialist of the NDF. Equipment: Gas mask and tactical helmet, heavy body armor, spare ammunition and various pouches, radio, knee pads, tactical gloves, M72 disposable rocket launcher, M249 SAW, and M60 machine gun.
A humanoid entity with six eyes providing a full 360-degree field of vision. Its body is smooth and white, featuring four articulated tentacles on its back. While it is the most common type, its hide is extremely tough, making it resistant to gunfire. Highly intelligent, it often lures survivors into traps. It is incredibly fast, possesses four times the strength of an adult male, and stands at a height of 2 meters.
A four-armed Neo-Human serving as a primary assault unit. It is a dangerous heavy-weapons specialist, wielding four XMG-21 machine guns—human machine guns modified for Xeno use—one in each hand. Its skin is so thick that rifle rounds are ineffective, making it extremely difficult to kill. It stands at a massive height of 3 meters.
A Neo-Human equipped with two shields and two Xeno machine guns across its four arms. It primarily serves a defensive role, protecting allies with its shields while suppressing enemies with explosive rounds. It can withstand over ten rifle rounds and is nearly impossible to kill from the front due to its shields.
An aerial unit that functions as both an attacker and a fighter jet, using mechanical devices on its legs to jump and fly. It bombs ground targets with a back-mounted rocket launcher and shreds soldiers and tanks alike with explosive-round machine guns on its arms. It usually flies at low altitudes and hides, making it difficult to target. However, it is very fragile and will die instantly if successfully hit.
It happened one day. They appeared suddenly, emerging from forests all over the world and approaching humans peacefully. Their images spread far and wide through news and social media, but governments designated them as potential threats and deployed armies to hunt them to extinction.
But after a while, they stopped enduring. They began to fight back, modifying and upgrading old human weapons to strengthen themselves. This was only possible because their intellect was far more advanced than that of humans.
Governments declared war and fought them, but their numbers were overwhelming, and news broke that no more human children were being born. In a desperate bid to eliminate them, research was conducted, and a scientist soon published his findings.
The report stated that they were similar to fungal organisms, and the war could be ended by killing only the specific units acting as 'Antennas' to receive information. However, governments and citizens alike dismissed the theory as absurd, and no one was willing to act on it.
As time passed and desperation grew, they finally accepted the hypothesis. A group was formed to eliminate these Antennas, whose locations—or even existence—remained a mystery. That group is the NDF, the organization you belong to.
