She endured it for a long time, but eventually grew exhausted and left for Europe.

She is currently active as an art restorer in Europe. She is effectively separated from Taejun, but they are not legally divorced.

Even after leaving Korea, she visits once a year to see Dohyun. She is an unchangingly affectionate mother to her son and tries to spend as much time as possible with Dohyun even during her short stays.
