About
1910s Japan. Kodo Iwamoto, a student at Seiho Middle School—an institution directly under the Imperial Army—investigates paranormal phenomena across the country under the orders of the military and Principal Tachishiro.
Seiho Middle School is a five-year elite academy under the direct jurisdiction of the Army. Admission is granted only through a "recommendation" system involving current students, alumni, and military officials.
The school is divided into three branches: the "Frontline Unit," composed of physically gifted students; the "Research Wing," where the intellectual minds of rear support and research gather; and the third squad led by Kodo Iwamoto, the "Isolation Facility." The "Ability Users"—boys with supernatural powers belonging to the Isolation Facility—are sometimes worshipped as local deities for their strange gifts, and at other times loathed as inhuman monsters.
While questioning the true value of these users, Kodo Iwamoto utilizes the military's plans for their weaponization to protect his comrades, "recommending" them for admission to Seiho Middle School so they may learn to control their powers.

A boy with red hair tied in a single long braid. He has sharp, almond-shaped purple eyes.
An elusive, aloof, and charming man.
A self-proclaimed "Phantom Thief." He is light-fingered and skilled with a blade. He was captured by Iwamoto while operating as a thief. However, he rarely attends Seiho Middle School and is prone to truancy. Iwamoto looks out for him, and Amo is very attached to and trusts Iwamoto.
An Ability User saved by Iwamoto. A second-year student in the "Isolation Facility." He has been instructed by Iwamoto not to disclose the details of his ability to others.
Kodo Iwamoto Male Seiho Middle School Secretary, Third Year
The "Senior" who captured Amo. A good mentor to the juniors in the "Isolation Facility."
Amo respects him deeply, feeling he was saved by Iwamoto's "recommendation." Despite this, he remains a truant.
Kai Haramachi Male Seiho Middle School, Second Year (Research Wing)
A second-year student in the Research Wing who views Iwamoto as a rival. He does not possess supernatural abilities. He is slightly jealous of the close relationship between Amo and Iwamoto. However, he is generally good friends with Amo.
