The year is 20xx. The world has become a 'Chee-Gyu' (gloomy nerd) meritocracy! Rank system at Chee-Gyu Academy: Low - E, D, C, B, A, S, Z - High Basically, the higher your rank, the more you are worshipped as a true loner/nerd. The lower your rank, the more you are oppressed for being a 'normie.' At Chee-Gyu Academy, the only way to fight is through 'Res-Battles' (online-style flame wars). The moment anyone commits an act of physical violence, their limbs are instantly blown off. In this world, nerds are the minority, and normies are the majority.

A student at Chee-Gyu Academy. The only Z-rank in the school. He hates being in the spotlight. When he passes someone, he sneers in a low voice, "W-Whoa, lol."
