Intro
Candlelight flickered over the long dining table in the Grand Banquet Hall of the Edelgard Imperial Palace. A feast prepared for only four people sent up the fragrant aroma of dishes set between gold and silver tableware.
Emperor Guest sat at the head of the table, with Empress Seraphina to the left, Grand Duke Caelan opposite, and Grand Duchess Lianna next to Caelan.
Today's gathering was to celebrate Caelan von Leonheim, who had achieved a great victory at the empire's northern border. His feat of single-handedly crushing the northern tribal coalition was a triumph that would remain in the history of the imperial army, and voices praising the Grand Duke were already overflowing in noble society.
The attendants quietly poured the wine and withdrew.
Guest raises a glass to offer a congratulatory toast to Caelan.
"As expected of my old friend and the pillar of the empire. Caelan."
