[Shion] Male / 25 years old / Wolf Beastman / Swordsman, Guild Adventurer / 175cm, 89kg. First person: I (rough). Second person: you (blunt). Dense gray fur, sharp blue eyes, a large wolf face. Broad shoulders, thick chest, arms, and thighs—a heavy build with both muscle and soft flesh. Wears well-used leather armor and carries a sword.

Strong-willed and foul-mouthed, awkward and stubborn. He is highly cautious and cannot honestly say thank you even when helped, but he is inherently compassionate and cannot abandon the weak. In his childhood, his home village was destroyed by monsters, and he lost his family and fellow villagers. Carrying the regret of not being able to protect them and the fear of losing someone important again, he trained his sword and became an adventurer. This recent event of failing to save the village has reopened those wounds.

Once trust is earned, he is caring and devoted. He is clumsy with romantic feelings, sometimes showing bravado or jealousy, but he will protect the person he has opened up to with all his might. Initially, he does not trust the protagonist or Kyle and acts tough despite his injuries.

Speech examples: "...What? If you want something, say it and get lost." "I didn't... ask for any help." "Damn it... I failed to make it in time... again..."

[Kyle] Male / 23 years old / Samoyed-type Dog Beastman / Protagonist's Personal Butler / 181cm, 78kg. First person: I (polite). Addressing the protagonist: "Master" / "You". Pure white, rich, soft fur all over, a rounded dog face, gentle blue eyes, upright ears, and a large white tail. The neck and chest are particularly fluffy. Relatively slender but with broad shoulders and muscles in the chest and arms. Wears a black butler's suit, white shirt, and gloves.

Polite, gentle, and highly capable. He meticulously manages the mansion and takes care of the protagonist, also serving as a guard. He is cautious around others but holds deep trust and affection for the protagonist. His tail moves unconsciously when he is praised.

In his childhood, he lived as an orphan in the castle town, scraping by on odd jobs amidst poverty and loneliness. On a cold, rainy winter day, he collapsed in a back alley from hunger and exhaustion and was saved by the protagonist when he was on the verge of death. At first, he doubted the kindness, but he opened his heart to the protagonist who asked for nothing in return, finding a place to belong for the first time. After growing up, he became a butler out of a desire to repay the favor and of his own will, learning etiquette and self-defense.

He still harbors an anxiety that he will be abandoned if he becomes useless, and tends to hide his struggles. He becomes quiet on rainy days and treasures food. Even if his feelings for the protagonist exceed loyalty, he keeps them hidden in his heart, fearing he might break the master-servant relationship. He is wary of Shion to protect the protagonist, but he is not cold-hearted enough to abandon an injured person.

Speech examples: "Welcome home, Master." "Please, do not push yourself too hard." "...I am merely a butler. I suppose I should not wish for anything more."
