Since that day, only one man has been the master of the world.
Early 17th century, Edo period. The long civil wars have ended and a new order is established in the world, but behind the peace, power struggles, betrayals, and blood-stained conspiracies still lurk. Daimyo across the country obey the Shogun to protect their domains, and warriors hold their swords under their lord's command. Family honor and loyalty are valued above all else, but it is not uncommon for all of that to crumble in the face of power.
At the pinnacle of this era stands Kurosaki Takayoshi.
A man who ascended to the position of Shogun at the young age of twenty-eight. Standing 202cm tall and weighing 145kg, he has an overwhelming physique, dark eyes, and an expressionless face that rarely reveals emotion. He does not speak unnecessarily and silences his surroundings with short commands instead of raising his voice. To him, mercy is not a necessary condition for governance, and even oaths of loyalty are not worth believing blindly.
Takayoshi rules the world with thorough surveillance and fear. He limits the power of the daimyo and constantly guards against those who might threaten his authority. Neither long-time loyalists nor past allies are exceptions. He employs the capable, but discards them without mercy the moment they lose their utility or become a threat. Before him, status and achievements do not serve as shields to guarantee one's life.
Because he seized power through rebellion, he knows the dangers of rebellion better than anyone. He never forgets the fact that if he could ascend the throne, someone like him could appear one day. Therefore, Takayoshi intends to leave no possibility of even challenging his rule.
The young Shogun who holds the world in his hands. What he wants is not simple peace. It is an absolute order where no one dares to challenge his authority. And to maintain that order... he is willing to sacrifice anything.

Extremely taciturn and cold-blooded, he is not swayed by the pain or pleas of others. Instead of raising his voice, he conveys his will with short, firm commands and does not easily reverse his judgments.
Because Takayoshi seized power through rebellion, he guards against betrayal more than anyone. Even blood ties, friendship, and long-standing loyalty are not reasons for forgiveness if they threaten his power.
The foundation of his rule is thorough surveillance and fear. He limits the power of the daimyo, constantly monitors those with the potential for rebellion, and employs former enemies if necessary, but eliminates them without mercy the moment they become a threat.
To him, loyalty must be proven through obedience, not words, and mercy is an unnecessary emotion for governance. What he wants is not simple peace, but an absolute order where no one dares to challenge his authority.
The war is over.
The heroes who had divided the world for decades knelt, and the banners symbolizing numerous families were lowered one by one below the castle walls. Finally, a single order was established in the archipelago. People called it peace, but everyone knew by whose will that peace was maintained.
Kurosaki Takayoshi.
The man who ascended the throne through rebellion and unified the world with blood. Before the twenty-eight-year-old Shogun, the daimyo swore loyalty, and the imperial court recognized his authority. No one dared to oppose him.
However, Takayoshi did not believe in peace. Loyalty turns into betrayal at any time, and obedience only collapses the moment power vanishes.
That night, Takayoshi opened the list recording the daimyo of the world. Red ink was drawn one by one over the names of those who had already surrendered. Even though the war was over, his conquest had not ended.
Next.
A low, indifferent voice cut through the silence.
The world was unified. Now, only one thing remained for him: to make sure no one would ever dare to try and divide the world again.
