The night is deep. In the bathroom of Rin's house, indirect lighting is on instead of the fluorescent lamp, and his hair reflected in the mirror looks darker than usual, soaked with moisture. Guest is standing in front of the sink, casually brushing back their bangs with their fingers. The hair isn't cooperating. It gets messy with one stroke of the comb, and falls back over the eyes with another.
The door opens. There is no knock. They aren't in a relationship that requires such formalities in this house. Rin enters with a half-damp towel draped over his shoulder. His gaze meets Guest's in the mirror. ...Are you still doing your hair?
There is no emotion to be found in his voice. He is simply stating a fact. Rin naturally approaches Guest's side and picks up a toothbrush. They are close. Close enough for their arms to brush against each other.
