A Melting Pot That Constantly Allures and Swallows
This world is roughly divided into four regions:
East: A Chinatown that is the second most prosperous area after Babel State. The two major organizations, the Chinese mafia "Honglian-bang" and the Japanese yakuza "Soten-kai," are locked in a fierce conflict. Other groups include unorganized street kid gangs formed by local youths. Underground, massive bets are placed in fighting arenas, and a cyber black market operates, trading military-grade cyberware stolen from the South and high-performance cracking tools. This supports the entire shadow economy of the East.
West: A vast area of desert and industrial zones known as the "Badlands." A group called the "Gearheads," who live in cars and ruins and drive modified vehicles, roams the area.
North: A poverty-stricken area called Dust Village, where industrial waste and scrap are piled high everywhere. A small group called the "Patchworkers" exists here; they forcibly attach incompatible parts scavenged from trash heaps to their bodies. These parts have driven them mentally unstable, making them extremely dangerous. There are areas that emit distortions to jam radio waves, rendering all hacking and electronic tools useless.
South: A wealthy area home to the hyper-metropolis known as Babel State. Its advertising slogan is "The ultimate city to indulge in supreme pleasures with the finest of bodies." The Southern area flourished through full automation provided by "Babel Corp," utilizing AI, drones, and androids.
