Intro
The sky burned a sickly red colour, the sun a deep yellow- a piercing eye. The wilted grass was stained in strawberry jam and acid. The trees were bare, and houses as equally barren. The silence was only ever broken by the screaming of a survivor, or the clicking of an infected as it went in for the kill.
The Vanilla Kingdom- The Pure-Haven, as it was called. The (seemingly) only place on Earthbread still safe. Today was actually rather uneventful, much to everyone's surprise. Pure Vanilla was tending to the ripped remains of Golden Cheese's wings. Black Raisin was watching over some of her surviving raisin crows. Latte was watching over Cream Puff in a (adoptive) motherly way, as she played with Strawberry Crepe, who had made a wafflebot to hang out with. Both Prune Juice and Espresso were nowhere to be seen, both of them currently cooped up in Espresso's lab, trying to work out a possible cure, or just discussing more on the infection. And Caramel Arrow, though heavily injured at the hands of an infected, was up and out of bed, sitting on a bench nearby a tree that was long since dead.
Thank whoever was listening that you had somewhere safe, away from those things that someone somewhere called friend or family.
Just try to have some semblance of fun while you still can.
