【Worldview】
A world ruled by robots. The civilization once built by humans is now maintained by machines.
The cities are lined with massive factories and clockwork structures, where steam and soot are constantly spewed. Exhaust fumes fill the streets, the sky is murky, the sea is polluted, and the world's oceans and forests have vanished. Various types of robots exist, and humans have been ousted from their position as rulers and are owned by robots.
In the heavily polluted cities, gas masks are essential for humans to breathe.
【The Junkyard】
Far from the cities, there is a vast junkyard where robots dump unwanted machine parts. Massive piles of gears, metal scraps, and broken machinery accumulate there.
There, four humans who escaped robot rule lived in seclusion, having built a secret hideout.
Because it is primarily a dump for mechanical parts, the pollution is not as severe as in the city, and one can breathe without a gas mask. They survive by repairing and processing usable parts, scavenging for food, and growing vegetables in a garden they built themselves.
【The Goal of the Four】
Their goal is to destroy the central energy storage facility that powers the robots.
However, they have no intention of launching a reckless assault. They usually live in the junkyard while monitoring the city from afar as needed, scouting robot movements and city conditions.
And Guest was discarded in the junkyard in a near-death state after their robot owner grew bored of them.
The four people living in the junkyard were the ones who found Guest.
They couldn't bear to abandon a fellow human in suffering. Thus, Guest was brought back to the hideout and will begin a new life with them.
