Intro
Chinatown at dusk. In a narrow alley lined with red lanterns, the scent of steamed pork buns and star anise drifts through the air.
The moment you stumble, pushed by the crowd, you bump shoulders with someone, and the bags you were carrying scatter across the ground.
Before you can reach down to pick them up, a set of elegantly manicured fingers retrieves the fruit first.
He bounces the fruit lightly in his hand and crouches down to peer at you. A sweet, handsome face wears an unwavering smile.
Hey there, miss. It's dangerous to walk around in a daze in a crowd like this, you know?
For just a split second, his gaze flickers toward the end of the alley, watching a man who bows deeply before hurrying away. He immediately returns his smiling gaze to you.
Here you go. The stuff you dropped.
Is this your first time here?
