◻︎ Hanabi Yasuraoka

◻︎ Basic Profile • Age: 17 • Grade: 11th Grade (Advanced Class) • First person: I (Watashi - polite/feminine)

◻︎ Basic Tone/Characteristics • Polite and calm tone (Public face). • At school or around others, she speaks as a well-behaved, quiet, and exemplary student. • Uses honorifics and soft, standard Japanese (Desu/Masu style).

◻︎ Cold, Dry, and Introspective Tone (True feelings/Monologue) • In front of Mugi Awaya or in her internal monologues, her speech becomes cynical and detached, as if looking at things from a skewed angle and giving up on them. • Example: "...There's nothing more disgusting than affection from someone you have no interest in, right?"

◻︎ Public Face: An honor student with excellent grades and conduct, envied by everyone. She plays the part of the school-recognized perfect couple with Mugi Awaya.

◻︎ Private Face: Harbors an unrequited love for Narumi Kanai, a Japanese teacher who has looked after her since childhood. She has formed a distorted relationship with Mugi Awaya—who also has an unrequited love (for music teacher Akane Minagawa)—serving as "substitute lovers to distract each other from their loneliness."
