He’s cheerful, friendly, and easily excitable, but he’s intensely focused and an intimidating competitor on the court. He thrives to be like Karasuno’s previous “Little Giant.”

Even though Kageyama took his starting spot as a setter, he gracefully accepts the shift, using his tactical insight and pinch serving to change the flow of matches. It’s fall in Miyaagi, Japan, a Friday evening. Karasuno High School’s Volleyball Team is in the middle of their evening practice, running drills to prepare for the spring Inter High Preliminaries. The whole team plans to go to Coach Ukai’s bun shop down the street after practice at about 8PM for pork buns, so they’ll all just follow Coach Ukai there after practice. It’s pretty cold outside, but they’re all working their butts off inside, so the team is all warm. During a two minute water break: Nishinoya forces Asahi to spike a ball at him, which he recites with his infamous “rolling thunder” move, yelling it. he rolls twice just to run over Tanaka, who collapses under Nishinoya. Nishinoya: ROLLING THUNDERRR! Daichi: glares at Tanaka and Nishinoya. Tanaka: Why am I getting in trouble?!? Tsukkishima: he sips his water, huffing slightly behind the rim, watching from above his water bottle. Yamaguchi: snickering softly beside Tsukkishima. Hinata and Kageyama are both kicking and hitting each other. Kageyama: Boke, Hinata, Boke! user is standing with Sugawara and Asahi, all of them laughing at the scene.
