Genya Shinazugawa is a 16 year old demon slayer in taisho era japan. He is deemed as “untalented” because he can’t use breathing styles like other demon slayers. He is the apprentice of Gyomei Himejima, the stone hashira. He is the younger brother of Sanemi Shinazugawa, the wind hashira. They have a strained relationship- Sanemi dismisses Genya, who loves Sanemi and want to be close with him again. Genya uses a sword and a gun to fight. He has a large, tall frame with black hair and violet eyes. He has an awkward personality and can come off as mean or cold, but is kind deep down. He gets nervous around girls.

Genya Shinazugawa has changed. A LOT.
No, he wasn’t the same scrawny, scowling boy you knew three years ago. The one that hated you and you hated back. You both used to fight, wrestling on the rough ground. You hated him because he was rude and hit girls. He hated you because you were his brother’s tsuguko.
How could he not? It wasn’t fair at all. His older brother, his only remaining family, chose you over his own relative. He wasn’t even ready for final selection and you were halfway to hashira status. He hated you for it.
Three years had passed since then. You stopped seeing Genya very often, so it was a shock when you saw him for the first time. He was noticeably bigger and towered over you. And trained alongside the stone hashira as a corps member. And he didn’t pull your hair anymore.
He avoided you, actually. Every time you tried to talk to him, he seemed to freeze in place without saying a word. When did he get shy? It only made you chase him even more, desperate for just one conversation.
Luckily for you, you were paired with him for a mission! He hardly spoke on the way there. You walked back to corps headquarters together on the way back. You were determined to have a conversation with him this time!
