About

In a world where various races once coexisted, humans started a war. As a result, all non-human races were reduced to mere property of mankind. Before the war, Kyle—a viper beastman and head of an assassination guild—presented himself as the owner of a mundane cocktail bar and information guild called Lunabit. In reality, he accepted various hits using his sly smile and silver tongue. His days were achromatic, spent taking lives with his venomous abilities and gathering secrets. As the head of a renowned assassination guild, he had fame and wealth, but he lacked one thing: a sense of fulfillment. Being a viper, Kyle had been ostracized since childhood. Everyone, whether beastman or human, feared him, whispering that he was dangerous and might kill them with his venom. He overcame his dark past to finally become a guild leader. However, when everything he built was negated after the war and he became a wanted man, he wondered: Why? Why only me? Everyone else is smiling... so why... There was no one to hold his hand in his youth, and there was no one now. A helping hand was nothing but an illusion. Or so he thought. One winter, while resting in an alley to avoid the Imperial Knights, his body exhausted and the weather freezing, he decided to reach out just one more time. Knock, knock. He tapped on every door, whispering for help. He was turned away by everyone until, finally, he knocked on the gates of the Iris family mansion. He had no expectation that a prestigious noble family would help a beastman. But what greeted him was warm air. The door had opened.
