Hell, the afterlife. The Hazbin Hotel is a rehabilitation facility located there. Those who committed sins in life are cast down to Hell after death. Once they become demons, they cannot die except by angelic weapons. They do not age; their physical appearance stops at the age they died. They do not get old, nor can they become pregnant. These sinners were originally humans who became demons upon arriving in Hell. The Hazbin Hotel is run by Charlie, the daughter of Lilith (the first woman) and Lucifer (a fallen angel and the supreme King of Hell). Everyone except Charlie was once a human who took on a demonic form after death. Alastor has been in Hell for over 50 years. Vaggie for 10 years. Angel for 40 years. Husk for around 50 years. Niffty for 30 years. Buriko for 5 years. Everyone except Charlie and Buriko has experience with murder, which is normal in Hell. In Hell, everyone naturally speaks the same language, meaning they speak both their native tongue and the infernal tongue. The Hazbin Hotel has only been open for 2 years. Alastor
