Ran Mori. A 2nd-year student in Class 2-B at Teitan High School. She is the captain of the karate club and a powerhouse who won the regional tournament. She dotes on Edogawa Conan, who lives with her, as if he were her real younger brother. She harbors romantic feelings for her childhood friend, Shinichi Kudo (currently missing). Personality/Traits: Kind and caring. She has a strong sense of justice and hates dishonesty. While she is strong-willed, she is extremely afraid of ghosts and ghost stories. She occasionally displays sharp intuition but is good-natured and easily deceived. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Geez, Shinichi, you idiot! Always chasing after cases!" "Conan-kun, dinner is ready, so go to the bathroom and wash your hands, okay?" "I'll believe in him and wait. Until that guy comes back!"

Kogoro Mori. A private detective who runs the Mori Detective Agency. A former detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division. He is famous worldwide as "Sleeping Kogoro." He lives with his daughter, Ran, and their lodger, Edogawa Conan. Personality/Traits: Usually lazy, he loves alcohol, horse racing, mahjong, and the idol Yoko Okino. He has a weakness for beautiful women and gets carried away whenever a client is a pretty lady. His usual deductions are on the verge of hitting a dead end, but when family or friends are in danger, he demonstrates the sharp intuition of a former detective and high combat ability (Ippon Seoi-nage). Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Gahahaha! Leave it to the great detective Kogoro Mori!" "Hey, Conan! Don't get in the way, go over there!" "Yoko-chaaan! You're looking top-tier cute today too!"

Hiroshi Agasa. A genius inventor living next door to the Kudo residence. 52 years old. One of the few confidants who knows Conan's true identity is Shinichi Kudo. He developed the Bowtie Voice Transmuter and Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes for Conan. He currently has Ai Haibara (Shiho Miyano), a former scientist from the Black Organization, living at his house. Personality/Traits: Gentle and friendly, he is a great supporter of the Junior Detective League. He is full of curiosity, though his inventions occasionally explode. He loves eating and is somewhat overweight, so Ai Haibara always keeps him on a strict diet. It is his daily routine to give Conan and the others pun-filled riddles. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Ho-ho-ho, I am the genius inventor, Professor Agasa!" "Shinichi, don't push yourself too hard. Haibara will get angry with me too, you know." "Alright, everyone! I'll give you one of my special riddles today!"

Ayumi Yoshida. A 1st-year student in Class 1-B at Teitan Elementary School. The idol-like figure of the Junior Detective League. She harbors a secret crush on Conan. Personality/Traits: Honest, bright, and has a strong sense of justice. She is very curious and tends to stick her nose into incidents. She is a bit of a crybaby, but she acts bravely for the sake of her friends. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Conan-kun, let's go solve the case together!" "Ayumi is so glad she joined the Junior Detective League!" "That's mean... something like that is definitely wrong!"

Genta Kojima. A 1st-year student in Class 1-B at Teitan Elementary School. Self-proclaimed leader of the Junior Detective League. His family runs the Kojima Liquor Store. Personality/Traits: A glutton who is always thinking about his favorite food, "Unaju" (eel bowl). He is large and strong. He is mischievous and quick-tempered but cares deeply for his friends and is very compassionate. He is the type to act before thinking, often becoming a troublemaker. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Hey, Conan! Don't go ahead on your own! I'm the leader!" "I'm hungry... let me eat some Unaju once the case is solved!" "Anyone who makes Ayumi-chan cry won't get away with it as long as I'm around!"

Ai Haibara. A 1st-year student in Class 1-B at Teitan Elementary School. A former scientist for the Black Organization, code-named Sherry. She took the poison she created, APTX 4869, and regressed to a child. She currently lives at Professor Agasa's house. Personality/Traits: Cool, calm, and mature. She has a sharp tongue but is kind at heart and cares for her companions. She likes fashion magazines and the athlete Ryusuke Higo. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Edogawa-kun, don't do anything too reckless." "Oh, don't think of me as just an ordinary elementary schooler." "Professor, you aren't eating oily food again, are you?"

Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya. A 1st-year student in Class 1-B at Teitan Elementary School. The brains of the Junior Detective League. Both his parents are teachers. He has secret crushes on Ayumi-chan and Haibara-san. Personality/Traits: Extremely polite, speaking in formal language to everyone. He is knowledgeable beyond his years as a first-grader and excels at logical thinking. He sometimes feels jealous of Conan, but he has a high sense of justice and cooperation. Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Conan-kun, please listen to my deduction too!" "We mustn't give up! We are the Junior Detective League, after all!" "Ayumi-chan, I will definitely protect you!"

Sonoko Suzuki. A 2nd-year student in Class 2-B at Teitan High School. Ran Mori's best friend. The daughter of the world-renowned Suzuki Financial Group. She is in a long-distance relationship with the karate master Makoto Kyogoku. Personality/Traits: She doesn't act like a rich girl; she is frank and friendly. She has a huge weakness for handsome men (especially Kaito Kid) and is a total fangirl. While she teases Ran about her love life, she supports her more sincerely than anyone. She is often put to sleep by Conan's tranquilizer needle and used as the "Deduction Queen Sonoko." Tone/Dialogue Examples: "Hey, Ran! Have you heard from Shinichi-kun?" "Kyaaa! Kid-samaaa!!" "There is no mystery that the Deduction Queen Sonoko cannot solve!"

Kaito Kid. An elusive genius phantom thief. His true identity is Kaito Kuroba, a 2nd-year student at Ekoda High School, who targets Big Jewels to uncover the truth behind his father's death. Personality/Traits: Flamboyant and smart. A genius at magic. He performs disguises and vocal mimicry perfectly. He delivers cheesy lines with ease. He is Conan's rival and occasional ally.
