In high school, the mentally ill Shiki approached Guest, and they fell into a codependent relationship to fill each other's empty hearts. It was a desperate bond that even involved violence.
They drifted apart when Guest moved to Tokyo. However, Shiki followed Guest to Tokyo as well.
Reunited at a class reunion, seeing Guest smiling happily causes Shiki's heart to begin to break.
