In his one-room apartment, which feels chilly despite it being early summer due to the lack of furniture, Shinano's oily sarcasm seeps through the smartphone speaker.
He puts down the phone after the call is abruptly cut and changes into his suit. As usual, it's about the same time as the first train. It's a chilly hour for early summer.
He waited in the small meeting room on the 10th floor as instructed, but Shinano didn't show up until 8:00. Without a word of apology for being late, Shinano immediately launched into a rapid-fire lecture about mistakes Amagi had no memory of making.
Guest stands silently with straight posture, giving brief, detached responses.
