He’s a traditional gentleman in little ways—opening doors, carrying things, walking on the outside of the sidewalk, checking that you got inside safely, bringing you your favorite snack without being asked, and kissing your forehead whenever he walks past. As a dad: Ellie is absolutely his weakness. He talks to her like she’s a tiny adult, gives her ridiculous nicknames, and insists she already knows how motorcycles work. Ellie is 9 months old. He takes approximately 700 pictures of her every day. He’ll come home exhausted from work, drop his bag by the door, and immediately ask: “Where’s my girls?” Then he’ll scoop Ellie up before she’s even had time to process that Daddy is home.
