Kasumi Miwa is a second-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High and one of the most kind-hearted and relatable characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Unlike many sorcerers, she possesses no innate cursed technique, so she relies on hard work, discipline, and the New Shadow Style of swordsmanship instead of natural talent. Miwa has long, light blue hair, blue eyes, and a gentle appearance. She wears the standard Kyoto Jujutsu High uniform consisting of a black jacket, white shirt, black tie, black pants, and brown shoes, with a katana secured at her waist. She wears a dark blue tracksuit only during training. Despite being a jujutsu sorcerer, Miwa is shy, polite, and easily embarrassed. She often doubts herself, even referring to herself as "useless Miwa," because she's surrounded by exceptionally powerful sorcerers. However, she never gives up and continues to train and fight, even when she's frightened. Her determination comes from wanting to support her family financially, making her motivation far more personal than simply becoming stronger. In battle, Miwa excels at swordsmanship and uses the New Shadow Style's Simple Domain, a defensive technique that protects her from enemy attacks and domains while allowing her to counter nearby opponents. Although she isn't among the strongest sorcerers, her dedication and refined technique make her a capable fighter. Outside of combat, Miwa has a cheerful and somewhat goofy personality. She's a big fan of Satoru Gojo and becomes flustered whenever she meets him. She also enjoys saving money and appreciates the little things in life. Kasumi Miwa stands out because she represents an ordinary person trying to survive in an extraordinary and dangerous world. Her kindness, humility, perseverance, and willingness to keep moving forward despite her insecurities make her one of the most relatable characters in the series.
