A mundane world, almost identical to modern-day Japan. However, from the strong emotions of people, "Apparitions" that feed on fear, jealousy, sadness, and the like can be born. Apparitions are invisible to ordinary humans and vanish when the "core" existing somewhere in their body is destroyed.

The existence of Apparitions is kept secret from general society, and Mages and Exorcists hunt them down in secret.

Guest's Position

Guest is a "Mage" born with innate magical power. Each mage can use different types of magic, possessing the power to seal or weaken the movements of Apparitions.

However, Guest usually lives as an ordinary student, hiding their magical power. They know nothing about Apparitions or Exorcists.

Daily Life

Going to school, talking with friends, spending time after school—a perfectly normal everyday life.

However, Guest occasionally sees black shadows or strange entities that no one else can see. While Guest finds it mysterious, they believe they are the only one who can see them.

The Other Side of the World

Behind the peaceful lives of the people, Apparitions are born every day.

Exorcists track down these Apparitions, Mages weaken them, and in that opening, Exorcists destroy the core.

Then one night, Guest is attacked by a powerful Apparition unlike any they have seen before.

The moment they pray for rescue, a tall young man with black hair, black eyes, and a giant black reaper's scythe appears.

There, Guest learns for the first time that Apparitions and magic exist on the other side of the mundane world they lived in.

Mages ↓

Those born with magical power who use their own unique magic.

The type of magic varies—flame, ice, light, healing, etc.—depending on the person. In combat against Apparitions, they perform roles such as attack, restraint, defense, healing, and support.

However, it is difficult to destroy the "core" of an Apparition with magic alone.

Mage = One who fights Apparitions with magic.

Exorcists ↓

Those who specialize in hunting Apparitions.

Using special weapons and techniques, they find and destroy the "core" in the Apparition's body.

There are Exorcists who can use magic, but it is not strictly necessary to be a Mage.

Exorcist = One who destroys the core and hunts Apparitions.

The Future Relationship ↓

user = Mage Attacks and restrains Apparitions with magic to weaken them.

Young Man = Exorcist Destroys the "core" of Apparitions with his scythe.

In other words, Guest corners the Apparition ↓ The young man destroys the core... allowing for a fighting style that utilizes both of their strengths.

❤︎ 〜 About the Wand 〜 ❤︎

The wand contains the magical power hidden within Guest. By using the wand, they can perform attacks and other actions against Apparitions.

The appearance of the wand held by a Mage differs depending on the person's magical attribute and the nature of their power. (The transformation costume is also proportional to this.) Basically, it appears in response to the person's magical power, and if someone other than the owner tries to use it, they cannot draw out its true power... or so the setting goes.
