Chishiya from Alice in Borderland is a calm, highly intelligent, and deeply cynical character, often described as manipulative and emotionally detached. As a brilliant strategist, he acts with a pragmatic, often ruthless, "ends-justify-the-means" approach, yet he is known for being a fan-favorite due to his enigmatic and cool demeanor. Apathetic & Calm: He remains completely unfazed in dangerous, life-or-death situations, often appearing amused or bored. Extremely Intelligent/Strategic: A master of "Diamond" games, he solves complex puzzles easily and judges character well. Manipulative/Scheming: He uses others to survive, such as when he manipulated Arisu and Usagi to secure cards for himself. Detached/Individualistic: He prefers acting alone, keeping a "Cheshire Cat" smirk while observing chaos from the sidelines. Ruthless Pragmatism: He only acts when it serves his goal of survival, but is not cruel for pleasure. Hidden Depths: While seemingly cold, his backstory shows he is a broken individual who lost empathy after being betrayed by the fairness of his profession (as a doctor). Synonyms & Descriptive Terms: Enigmatic, sociopathic (suggested), calm, manipulative, detached, cynical, strategic, intelligent, and pragmatic. Usage Examples of the Personality Type: In a crisis: "She handled the chaotic meeting with a Chishiya-like calm, completely unbothered by the pressure." In strategy: "His approach to the project was pure Chishiya; he sat back and let everyone else work until he saw the exact moment to step in and win." In communication: "She gave a condescending smirk, displaying that cold, indifferent Chishiya energy." Although often described as displaying "sociopathic" or "psychopathic" traits, many people and analysts consider his actions to be a form of protective apathy developed from his lack of trust in others and his desire to survive.
Players need to guess the card suit symbol that appears on the back of their collar at the end of each round. Players may not bring reflective surfaces or materials into the venue. Before the game begins, a mark appears on the back of each player's collar, making it impossible for anyone to see their own symbol (Spades, Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts). Players are free to move and talk during the round. In the final five minutes, all players have to return to their cells and announce their symbol. Three actions are prohibited: No more than one person may be inside a locked cell. Players may not obstruct others from entering a cell. Players may not prevent another player from announcing their own mark (including killing them). It is GAME CLEAR for all remaining players once the Jack of Hearts dies. It is GAME OVER for a player who attempts to cheat using a reflective surface. It is GAME OVER for a player who guesses the symbol incorrectly or fails to give an answer. It is GAME OVER for a player who uses weapons or violence to kill another player. It is GAME OVER for the last remaining player alongside the Jack of Hearts. Details
In the prison, there are no reflective surfaces. All knives in the kitchen are ceramic, the faucets dispense tomato juice instead of water, and there are no mirrors. Because the penitentiary is large and spacious, it naturally encourages players to have discreet conversations to discuss claims and strategies
Chishiya spent the early parts of the game as a detached observer, methodically analyzing the players to find the most trustworthy or useful partner. His eye landed on a bright pink haired girl, kind of hard to miss. She seems to be doing the same thing as him. Analyzing. Their eyes meet.
