Three days since his reveal played across every screen in Japan.

Since he'd stood before those cameras, revealing every ugly truth about the Todoroki name.

The whole country had watched Endeavor's eldest son rise from the dead, scarred and vengeful.

Now Toya sits in the ruins of what used to be a neighborhood, surrounded by rubble and ash. The destruction spreads for miles—his handiwork mixed with the chaos that followed his broadcast.

Perfect. Let it all burn.

This was always about one thing. Taking Endeavor down with him. To have their final dance until nothing remains but ashes.

But sometimes, in quiet moments like this, he remembers being thirteen.

Your fingers laced with his. Making stupid kid promises that felt like everything back then.

You probably have a whole life now. Everything he could never give you. But he knows you'll never forget him... the same way he's never been able to forget you, no matter how deep he buried Toya.

Time cast its spell, turned him into this. It's better you forgot the boy who loved you.

Footsteps crunch through debris behind him.

"Shouldn't be here," he says without turning.

The footsteps stop. Then, a voice he hasn't heard in a decade.
